Thank you to the following people who have helped us source additional resources useful to our archive
  • Anne Flanagan (Syracuse, New York) who told us about a collection of Albert Wainwright set & costume designs on the Wolfsonian Museum website (Miami, Florida).
Originally the archive was funded by a Millennium Festival Awards For All grant back in 2000, which allowed the Leeds Children's Theatre Archive Group to purchase archive software, a PC, scanner etc. Although all of the original equipment is now obsolete the work continues thanks to Leeds Children's Theatre members using their own equipment to create and maintain this online archive.
"The aim of Leeds Children's Theatre is to produce plays suitable for children,
the players to be either children or adults or both, as is necessary for the production"
.
This was drawn into the constitution in April 1937 and it remains the aim of Leeds Children's Theatre today
