About the L.C.T. archive
Our online archive includes lots of show memorabilia including programmes, photographs and interesting information about the society and our activities going back to 1935. Obviously there are gaps as we have relied on members and their families contributing items - many of which have now been scanned and safely returned.
Is Leeds Children's Theatre part of your story?
- What did you gain from your time with Leeds Children's Theatre?
- Are you still involved?
- Do you remember visiting one of our performances in the past?
- Are your children or even your grandchildren now following your footsteps - perhaps treading the boards themselves?
- We'd also love to hear what our past members are up to these days - are you still involved in theatre & the arts, professionally or as a hobby?
If you were a member of Leeds Children's Theatre in the past, and have information or an interesting story that you'd be happy to share in our archive please get in touch - this form is an easy way!
Go on, we'd love to hear from you ...

"Leeds Children's Theatre Archive Group" was first created back in May 2000* with the specific purpose of creating an archive of images and other resources for publication, allowing us to share all those programmes, posters, press clippings and photographic images that have been gathering dust in our homes for decades. It's an opportunity to celebrate the 85+ years of Leeds Children's Theatre; to collect and share our memorabilia and memories gained from time spent as members of the longest established children's theatre group in the UK.
* Originally the archive was funded by a Millennium Festival Awards For All grant which allowed the Leeds Children's Theatre Archive Group to purchase archive software, a PC, scanner etc. Although all of the original equipment is now obsolete the work continues thanks to Leeds Children's Theatre members using their own equipment to create and maintain this web resource.
