While the ‘Big Ones’ are asleep, plenty of excitement takes place on the kitchen dresser.  The cuckoo in the clock has lost his voice and risks being thrown away.  Salt, Pepper and The Gingerbread Man try to help him, despite the efforts of the Old Tea Bag on the top shelf.  She isn’t the only one to worry about as danger also comes from a gangster mouse with a hankering for sweet things. They really do need your help!

Perfect for children and families, this fast-paced, fun-filled production will capture imaginations with its exciting mix of humour and heart. This fun-filled, feel-good show is the perfect start to the festive season for all the family and will have you tapping your feet and humming along to David Wood’s catchy tunes.

This amateur production of “The Gingerbread Man” is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd. on behalf of Samuel French Ltd. www.concordtheatricals.co.uk

Our Spring 2025 production was The Jungle Book, directed by J Walker. (Carriageworks Theatre, 27-30 March)

Thurs 27 - Sun 30 March 2025 The Jungle Book, (based on the book by Rudyard Kipling)
Theatre programme for The Jungle Book (pdf)
Join Mowgli, the boy raised by wolves, as he adventures through the jungle encountering a colourful cast of characters including the wise panther Bagheera, the fun-loving bear Baloo, and the fearsome tiger Shere Khan.
Interspersed with the Mowgli tale is the intriguing story of a young Rudyard Kipling, who is sent from his home in Bombay to a British boarding school, where he encounters his own "jungle".  The story unfolds using his own experience of feeling lost in unfamiliar surroundings, and the people he meets - good and bad - inspire many of his famous animal characters.
With its rich storytelling, excitement, humour and a vibrant ensemble of jungle inhabitants,
‘The Jungle Book’ is a timeless story, that explores themes of courage, friendship, and the importance of finding one’s place in the world.  Embark on a wild journey with Mowgli as he discovers the true meaning of family and belonging in this enchanting adaptation.
This amateur production of The Jungle Book (Robinette/Kipling) is produced by special arrangement with
THE DRAMATIC PUBLISHING COMPANY of Woodstock, Illinois.
