The Magic Scarf
18-21 November 2015
at the Carriageworks Theatre, Leeds

The Magic Scarf
by Edna Barwell
Directed by Sue Elliott & Judith Daniel

When Lee and Sandy build Tingles the snowman on Christmas Eve they have no idea what the night will bring. The North Wind has “borrowed” Tingles’ scarf and is in no hurry to return it. Without his scarf, Tingles won’t be able to return the land of Ice and Snow. What will poor Tingles do?  Join Lee, Sandy and Tingles as they embark on an adventure to rescue Tingles’ scarf with the help of a very unusual Christmas Fairy called Goldie.  Can they outwit the cunning scarecrow, defeat the Wicked Witch and win back the scarf? Or, will the children miss Christmas altogether?
All is revealed in this excellent play, written by the late Edna Barwell for Leeds Children's Theatre.

We also presented a cheque for £400 to Sarah, from the Leeds Dogs Trust, in memory of our dear friend Edna Barwell, who wrote the play "The Magic Scarf".

The final curtain fell on our most recent production on Saturday evening. We'd like to thank everyone who came and supported the society last week, as well as all of the cast crew, parents, chaperones and the resident theatre staff at the Carriageworks Theatre in Leeds.
We enjoyed wonderful audiences throughout the week, including many local school groups, Brownies and Rainbows, so a big thank you to the teachers, parents and leaders for organising their groups to come to the theatre.
