Emil and the Detectives
November 1968
at the Civic Theatre, Leeds

The producer of this production, Archie Barrett, was also the Chairman of the Yorkshire Region of the British Children's Theatre Association which held it's annual conference at the theatre in November.
The YEP tells us that "six thousand will see the production and 2,000 others who wanted seats have to be turned down".

"The aim of Leeds Children's Theatre is to produce plays suitable for children,
the players to be either children or adults or both,
as is necessary for the production"
.
This was drawn into the constitution in April 1937
and it remains the aim of Leeds Children's Theatre today
