An EGM of the Leeds Civic Arts Guild was held on 23 August 2017, where it was decided that the organisation will in future be known as Leeds Community Arts Network (Leeds CAN), with the intention that it will become a registered charity (CIO).
Leeds Community Arts Network supports artistic groups in the Leeds area, bringing our community closer together and helping to promote access to the arts for all.
Leeds Community Arts Network is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation run by unpaid Trustees on a voluntary basis and consisting of 14 member groups. Any profits and funding are put directly into improving the network and facilities, and enabling members of the community to take part in artistic projects.
Leeds Civic Arts Guild News & Information
Leeds Children's Theatre is a member of the LCAG, an umbrella organisation covering a number of societies and groups. The LCAG Executive provides occasional news letters and information for Guild members which we pass onto our own members via this website and our Group's Facebook page. All of Leeds Children's Theatre's members are also, by default, members of the LCAG and are entitled to attend open forums, AGMs and other LCAG events such as the Annual Awards Evenings. Officers and Committee members of the Guild Executive are elected annually, and their role is to impartially represent the interests of all the Leeds Civic Arts Guild member groups and societies.
