Judith & Barry have been with LCT for many years. Judith leads the team of volunteers that run our Saturday workshop & has also directed many of our shows - she has a fondness for the plays written by children's playright David Wood. As a retired teacher, Judith spends many evenings rehearsing for one of the many societies she is involved with, including Cosmopolitan Players.

Barry's in charge of all things scenic & spends many hours in the Guild workshop building & painting scenery for us as well as well as other societies he's involved with.

Mavis has been with us for ages, and works wonders, making costumes for all our shows.

Jane has been with LCT for over 15 years and has directed a couple of shows for us [so far!] When she's not directing, Jane can usually be found rummaging around for bits of fabric and craft materials, as she usually makes the props for our shows, and manages to fit in a bit of performing for us as well!

Karen has been a member of Leeds Children's Theatre since 1970, having been introduced to the society by her aunt, Grace Milburn, who was the company's choreographer. Karen has been involved in all aspects of our society, treading the boards as a youngster and later directing and producing a couple of shows back in the 1980's.
As work commitments no longer allow her to be as hands on with productions, Karen is more involved in the organisational side of the society and was the elected Chair for the past few years, overseeing many changes and challenges including the closure of the Civic Theatre and our move into The Carriageworks theatre in 2005. Karen was also instrumental in the setting up of the Leeds Children's Theatre Archive Group back in 2000, securing an Awards for All Lottery grant, organising the purchase of equipment as well as training some of the other members to use the archive. She also looks after the society's website.

Ian works as a teacher in Leeds, and has been a member of LCT for many years, performing & directing as well as running workshops for us. He is also our CPO.

Alex was introduced to the society via the membership of her two sons - Michael and Andrew - in 2003. After four shows worth of ferrying her boys to and from rehearsals up to three times a week, she realised that the only sensible option would be to just stay at the theatre and find some way to help! When not helping to paint scenery for upcoming shows, she can often be found chaperoning, crewing backstage, or helping Jane with props.
Alex has been seen once on stage as a carol singer in 'The Magic Scarf': an experience she adamantly refuses to repeat - but we're working on it!
